Knot-Tying Skills
Shelter building requires strong, reliable knots. We teach two essential bushcraft knots:
1. Timber Hitch Knot
Used for securing a rope to a log or pole. This knot is simple, strong, and perfect for pulling or anchoring wood during shelter construction.
2. Two Round Turns & a Half Hitch
A dependable knot for attaching a rope to a tree or post. Ideal for tensioning ridgelines, securing bashers, and supporting shelter frames.
