Working For The Community
Higher Farm Wellbeing CIC is a purpose-driven venture focused on nurturing wellbeing for individuals, groups, organisations and communities, both within our local area and further afield.
Through our status as a CIC we are able to offer a variety of well-being projects and sessions tailored to group and individual needs all amidst the natural beauty of our 100 acre Cheshire Countryside farm. From animal-assisted interventions that foster connection and healing, to our calming therapy bespoke packages, every experience is designed to promote balance, mindfulness, and personal growth.
Whether you're seeking relaxation, team-building opportunities, or holistic approaches to wellness, Higher Farm Wellbeing CIC provides the perfect environment to reconnect, recharge, and thrive.

CIC stands for Community Interest Company. Higher Farm chose this option as it enables us to operate as a special type of UK limited company that is designed to directly benefit our local community.
This enables us to operate as a hybrid between a traditional business and a charity through the use of commercial activities and services in order to achieve our social and community goals. This approach allows us to run a business that genuinely benefits our local community.
Our actions are guided by the principle that our activities, income and resources deliver positive outcomes for the people we serve.

Our CIC status reflects a strong commitment to openness and accountability. We produce an annual CIC report that demonstrates how we deliver social value and make a real difference within our community. This transparency helps us to build trust and strengthen our relationships with partners, funders and stakeholders.

Unlike traditional charities, Higher Farm is able to trade commercially, giving us the flexibility to generate income while staying true to our social mission. This approach allows us to respond to local needs, adapt our services and create sustainable opportunities that benefit the community long-term.

Our CIC structure makes it easier for us to work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, health services, businesses and community organisations. These partnerships help us reach more people, develop innovative programmes and deliver meaningful support across education, wellbeing and community engagement.

Being a CIC allows Higher Farm to address a wide range of social needs, from education and employability to wellbeing, inclusion and connection with nature. This flexibility ensures we can support individuals and communities in ways that are practical, relevant and impactful.
